Hello to all who follow me! I hope 2017 is treating you well, it's already been quite a year so far on the world stage! 

On a personal level, a family member of mine fell ill and I've had to leave my job and become a carer. Coupled with my own ailments, I've had a lot on my plate. I'm dealing with this, however on an output side of things, I've had to really focus on my comics and less on DeviantArt, especially as I have gained subscribers and Patreons. Some may also have realised I've stopped uploading the actual comic to DeviantArt, I did this as the response to the comics wasn't to great on here, where as it was thriving elsewhere. It's all about adapting to survive, and I do post some of the comic's art up on here still. 

I'll still get involved in DA as much as possible but life may get in the way. Thanks for understanding.

Hello fellow Deviants!

I just realised my last Journal was in September and so much has happened since!

The biggest happening has been my spin-off comic Night Twink, which I launched in November. It was a huge experiment for me as it was my first attempt at an app-friendly style comic, and for those who care about this stuff, I went for a larger sized ink brush which I wasn't sure would work. But, work it has, and the webcomic has surpassed the parent comic HOTWAB in views and subs in a smaller amount of time.

However, the episodes are self-contained, while a larger story arch forms, and are more "bite sized" which seems to work well with the internet audience. Should I have known this, I may have done the same for HOTWAB, so that's a lesson learned. I'm actually enjoying doing the app-friendly comic so I may use it in future projects, even HOTWAB.

I hope the character can be an inspiration for anyone fighting against homophobia in the modern world, but I also wanted to make the character real', he can be sometimes shallow, make huge mistakes and act on his teenage libido. It ddn't feel right to make some idealised hero.

I've also joined up with to mix in with the monthly challenges over there. My character GI Ant is capable of traversing realities and has omnipresence (think of Batman or Wolverine as they appear to have multiple different adventures in so many different comics) and is my character to use if anyone's considering a team up or crossover right now . He's had 2 DU adventures so far and a character Jam with some of my fave DU characters. His adventures are below

HOTWAB is powering on through it's 3 issue, and I've recently introduced Sylvester Slime as a supervillain. I wanted to make a classic style villain which is a trope that's vanishing from modern comics I find. There's a kind of Joker/Riddler look to him, but I'm totally thinking Burgess Meredith/Penguin while I'm writing for him.

I've just redesigned my DeviantArt site given that I got my new core thingamy sorted. Hope it's to people's liking, I think it makes the banners stand out more. 

Gosh this year has flew by, such a sad one with losing so many beloved celebrities Alan Rickman, Victoria Wood, Ronnie Corbett. My family has had its share of bad times too, but I'm doing that odd thing some of us do in looking to the new year as a new start. I hope you all have a great festive season and thanks once more for all the support everyone.

I hope you're all having a fantastic 2016. We've had about 1 day of good weather here in the UK, so much for summer! It's not been the year for getting any macro photography done. But we're not here to talk about that. 

August this year I pretty much got my head down and finished all the art work for HOTWAB issue 5. So we're pretty much good until September 2017, and I've got some work done already for Issue 6. In one word... phew! 

Issue 3 is ready to go and will be up in October. I've got a few other projects too, yey for all this free time!


Also I've used the webcomic template over at Tumblr for the comic, any help getting it about would be welcome

This month HOTWAB is featured in Best Webcomics "Webcomic of the Day", which features their standard interview answered by yours truly. The guys at BWC have been tremendously supportive of HOTWAB over on Twitter, and I'd encourage anyone looking to get some exposure to give them a follow.

Thanks again to all those who have shown support. I'm quite poorly at the moment and it's taking all my time to get HOTWAB out so I'm unavailable for any other projects right now, but it's always flattering to be asked.
